Why SARS doesn’t terrorize youths in the North – Twitter user
A Twitter user has revealed why the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, doesn’t terrorize youths in the Northern part of Nigeria.
There have been a renewed call for the police unit to be scrapped or reformed.
This was after it some of its operatives were alleged to have shot a young man in Delta State, South South Nigeria.
Lending his voice to the call against SARS, @waspapping_ said that fraud must also be condemned as much as SARS which tackles such cases.
He tweeted:
“It’s simple mathematics, the reason you don’t see SARS terrorizing the youths over here in the North is due to the less crime rate we have compared to the south.
Northern youths don’t consider fraud as hustle. Let’s learn to condemn and call out fraud just as much as
As sad as these killings are, we must also learn to condemn fraud and not see it as a legit hustle #EndSarsNow.”
