The Palestinian envoy to Nigeria, Abdullah Shawesh, has urged world leaders to make Israel follow the rules of international law that protect human rights and prevent violence.

He said Israel should not be allowed to break the law, and it should face the same consequences as other countries.

Shawesh spoke to the press in Abuja on Wednesday.

“International law must be respected, especially international humanitarian law and human rights law. There should be no exception or impunity for Israel, and it should not be above the law.

“It is time for the international community to stand firm and united in support of international law. Everyone around the world should raise their voice loudly at this historical juncture.

“If not you, then who? If not now, when?,” he said.

Shawesh also criticized Western leaders for failing to protect his people.

He said, “The double standards, the hypocrisy, and the full support and sponsorship of many Western countries encourage Israel to implement its old plans of expelling the Palestinian people from Gaza to the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula in a clear attempt to repeat the ethnic cleansing that the Palestinians were subjected to in 1948.”

Speaking further, he also condemned the false news against the Palestinians. .

‘’Some media outlets are waging a dirty war against the Palestinian people by broadcasting and distributing dozens of false and fake news stories with the aim of portraying the Palestinians as murderers, thugs, and inferior subhuman beings in a re-engineering of the global consciousness towards full acceptance of the Israeli genocide and war crimes against the Palestinian people currently underway.”
