Controversial online personality Saida Boj, has responded to calls for her to comment on the recent arrest of fellow social commentator, Vincent Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan.
The outspoken critic was reportedly taken into custody on May 1, after visiting a GTBank branch with his mother to lodge a complaint about alleged deductions from her salary account linked to a loan she claimed not to have taken.
The news of his arrest quickly spread across social media, prompting many netizens to demand that prominent figures, including Saida Boj, lend their voices to the situation.
However, in a post on her Instagram page, Saida Boj, whose real name is Sarah Idaji Ojone, addressed the growing pressure from her followers.
According to her, she had previously advocated for VeryDarkMan during one of his past legal troubles, but her efforts were met with silence and ingratitude.
“When he was locked up last year, I pleaded for him and even posted his picture on all my social media platforms asking people to repost it, oversabi like me. When he was finally released, did I get a thank you? No. Why he go tell me thank you? Dem send me message? Make nobody tag me again. With or without my voice, he won’t be there forever?”
Saida did not hold back in her criticism, branding VeryDarkMan as ungrateful and disrespectful.
“This boy na very ungrateful person and I Saida Boj do not like ungrateful people. How dare you disrespect me like that? Even when you know that I do not like to be disrespected.”
Her comments have stirred further discussion online, with reactions divided over her stance on the incident.
