Singer, Lamboginny, has stated he will not be celebrating Nigeria at 60. He took to his Instagram page to explain that he felt there was nothing to celebrate about as, ‘there are no basic human needs working’ in the country after six decades.
Known for his advocacy towards prison reforms, the singer posted, “Fellow Nigerians, I will not be celebrating our 60th Independence on the1st of October 2020. Thousands of inmates are still awaiting trials for years due to our slow judicial system.
“There are no basic human needs working perfectly after 60 years of independence. I am not celebrating 60 wasted years. Wake up Nigeria and build a better Nigeria for all and not for some.”
