Popular American Rapper Curtis James Jackson, widely known as 50 Cent, has clarified why he rejected the $3 million offer for him to come perform at ex-president Donald Trump’s presidential rally.

Speaking during an interview on The Breakfast Club, the artist said he was invited to Madison Square Garden in New York but chose to decline because of his aversion to politics.

Reacting to the host’s question, he said, “Yes, I got a call, but they wanted me for Sunday.

“I didn’t even go far… I didn’t talk to them about that kinda stuff. I’m afraid about politics”

“It is because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.”

Trump, who is campaigning for a second term in the upcoming presidential election scheduled for November 5, and is running against Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, previously featured 50 Cent’s track ‘Many Men (Wish Death)’ at his political rallies.

Meanwhile, hours after the story of 50 Cent’s rejection went viral, a Trump campaign official reportedly said that 50 Cent’s claim about being offered $3 million to perform was not true.
