Why I made Yoruba the official language in my house, Sound Sultan says, shares photo of his sons

Nigerian singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi popularly known as Sound Sultan, has revealed why he compelled his family to always speak Yoruba when they are in the house.

Sound Sultan said he took the decision when he realised he had fallen short of upholding his duties in passing down culture through the Yoruba language.

He revealed this in a post via his verified Instagram page on Friday morning.

The 42-year-old ‘Mathematics’ crooner posted a photo of his two sons posing as they rocked traditional Yoruba attires.

He wrote:

“I just realised while I was fulfilling this big dream of bringing my kids up as aje butters who speak fluent English, I have fallen short of upholding my duties in passing down the culture through the Yoruba language.

“Yoruba is now the lingua franca in my house!”
