‘Why I hid my identity as Mohbad’s mum’
In an interview with TVC, the mother of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, revealed that she hid her identity as the singer’s mother because of her fear of being kidnapped.
“I don’t tell people I’m Mohbad’s mother because he was scared I might get kidnapped,” she said
She stated that she had only spent five months in the new house that MohBad had rented for her, and he had visited her three times before his death.
He had taken her out of her previous residence in Ikorodu because he wanted to visit her from time to time.
Speaking further, she said MohBad had recently rented a space comprising of three shops for her, but she had not yet opened it.
He had also given her money to buy two big freezers and a big generator. On the day he died, he had promised to send her N5 million so that she could buy goods to stock up.
She said that her son had not enjoyed himself and had lived in fear. He had not enjoyed himself.
According to her, she said that she had spent 10 days with him and did not know he was going to die. She left on Saturday and he died on Monday. The reason she left on Saturday was because he had a show.
This comes days after the former media aide to ex-governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, Lere Olayinka, in a Facebook post alleged that MohBad’s mother abandoned her kids with a man for 15 years.
