A heartbroken soldier has alleged that operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad tortured his cousin, who was hypertensive, to death.
The soldier, identified only by his Twitter moniker, @HardyI /@jassjegs, had in series of post on the platform explained that SARS operatives arrested his cousin and some of his friends on allegations of being yahoo boys, took them to their detention and tortured them.
The soldier, who just returned from the trenches where he was posted to fight Boko Haram, said his cousin was arrested and taken into custody around 8.20 p.m and tortured till the next day.
He added that SARS operatives demanded N60,000 for his release but when his mother couldn’t provide the money immediately, the operatives changed the charge from being yahoo boy to being a member of a cult group.
The boy was allegedly transferred to anti-cultism who tortured him to death.
He wrote,
While I was busy fighting for the peace of my country #SARS were busy torturing my cousin till Death.

I think am done with this country.

Just my Cousin she cried telling them she’s just a bean cake seller she doesn’t have such money in her position they pushed her out and threatened to lock her up when next she comes in without the Money.

Happening before she could reach out to those who will raise such money for her was the third day. They’ve already handed over my Cousin to Anti cultism they tortured them till my cousin gave up because he’s hypertensive.
