WhatsApp users to enjoy new updates to voice messaging
Reports emerge on Thursday that Whatsapp users would start enjoying handy updates via Voice notes on the platform.
One of the newly introduced innovations has to do with the ‘Out of Chat Playback’ feature that gets rid of an annoying detail for voice note users.
Voice note lovers can now listen to very long voice message even if they move out of a chat window, making it easier to multitask.
Users can now read and respond to other messages while still listening to a voice note.
The new update also allows one to pause and resume a recording so that if one is interrupted, there’s no need to start all over.
You can also listen to your voice notes before hitting ‘send.’
Another convenient feature is the ‘Remember Playback’ which lets you pause when listening to a voice message and pick up where you left off when you return to the chat.
Also, the ‘Waveform Visualization’ feature shows you a visual representation of where you are in the recording.
Finally, if you have a friend or relative that likes to send voice notes that can double up as podcasts, you can use the new ‘Fast Playback’ option to listen to it at 1.5x or 2x speeds.
This works on both regular and forwarded messages.
With these new features, sending and receiving voice notes only gets more convenient.
The updates have already started rolling out to users, and WhatsApp says more people should start seeing them in the next few days.
