Nigeria’s legendary singer, Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly called Tuface or 2Baba, has reacted to the ongoing Super Falcons protest over non payment of their allowances and bonuses by the Nigerian government after winning the  African Women Cup of Nations title recently in Cameroon.

Members of the trophy winning Super Falcons took to their protest to the streets of Abuja and the National Assembly on Wednesday in a bid to call the attention of the Nigerian lawmakers to their demands.

We learnt the players had blocked the entrance to the National Assembly and vowed not to vacate the premises until they are being attended to.

Commenting on the fiasco through his official Instagram account, 2Baba condemned the treatment meted out to the female players, saying, “Some people have been collecting outrageous salaries and allowances 4 doing nothing meanwhile these patriotic Nigerian girls have done us proud and some one or some people feel say na their mouth money sweet pass or needs their money more than them. Shame on all tiers of government that have turned a blind eye on this issue. Somebody/some people need 2 be fired cos of this heartless disgraceful act. #superfalcons #africanchampions deserve better.”

Meanwhile, reports say the players eventually went back to their Agura hotel in Abuja after President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari promised them that they’ll be paid within 48 hours.
