What Arsenal must do to finish fourth ahead of Man Utd, Spurs – Neville

Published

Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville has revealed what Arsenal must do to finish in fourth place in the Premier League this season.

Mikel Arteta’s side beat Leicester City on Sunday to Arsenal’s cruise into fourth place with their ninth Premier League victory in 11 games, becoming favourites to qualify for the Champions League next season ahead of Manchester United and Tottenham.

However, during his appearance on Monday Night Football, Neville revealed that he does not “fully trust” the Gunners who have three matches in hand and some tricky fixtures.

“The reason I said about a week or so ago that you can’t fully trust Arsenal is because they’ve not delivered yet.

“The pressure is now on them, in the sense that there is now an expectation that they will finish fourth.

“I think they will finish fourth, but they’ve got Liverpool on Wednesday night, they’ve got Aston Villa away on Saturday, they’ve got Tottenham still to come, they’ve got Manchester United to play.

“Now they have got to go on and prove that we can all trust them, that they can go and deliver Champions League football, which was against all expectations at the start of the season,” Neville said.
