West African Royal Ceramics assures abducted workers of safe return

The Management of West African Royal Ceramics company, Ajaokuta in Kogi State, has vowed to facilitate the safe return of its workers who were kidnapped on Wednesday.
WuzupNigeria reported that six workers of the ceramics company were abducted while working at one of its mining sites located at Emiworo community in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday by unknown gunmen.

Reacting to the kidnap in a statement made available to journalists in Lokoja on Thursday, the company condemned in strong terms, the abduction of its workers.

According to the statement signed by Hassan Illugbami Igo, Public Relations Officer of the company, all security agencies in the area have been mobilised to track the perpetrators and free those in their custody and make their abductors face the full wrath of the law.

While assuring the workers of their safety, he said the victims would be rescued alive and reunited with their families.

“Yes it’s true that some of our workers were abducted on Wednesday by unknown gunmen, but the management is already on top of the situation.

“We have involved the Area commander, the DSS, and together they have initiated all the necessary moves required, we have equally reached out to the families of those that were abducted and assured them of their safety.

“This is Just to let the public and their families know that all hands are on deck to get the captives released and united back with their families.”

The Police Public Relations Officer in Kogi State, DSP William Ovye Aya, said the police in collaboration with sister security agencies are combing the bushes to ensure that the abducted miners regained freedom.
