Afrobeats sensation, Davido, has revealed that he and his wife, Chioma, are currently pausing plans to expand their family.
The singer, who is a father of five, shared that they have decided to take a break from having more children, allowing Chioma time to focus on her personal ambitions.
In an episode of Ride Along With Darryl, Davido opened up about their decision, highlighting the importance of supporting his wife as she pursues her goals. “I don’t want more children now. Me and my wife are taking a break. She needs to get out to work. She wants to do a lot of things like opening her restaurant and launching her spices. I feel she deserves a couple of years off after having 3 kids,” he said.
The couple welcomed twins—a boy and a girl—in 2023, marking a joyful milestone following the tragic loss of their first son, Ifeanyi, who passed away in a swimming pool accident the previous year.
Davido’s statement reflects a supportive stance on balancing family life and personal growth, as both he and Chioma look ahead to new ventures beyond parenting.
