Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State has said that his administration is determined to rescue the children kidnapped by bandits in the state.

He had earlier said that 333 students of a school in Kankara were missing after an attack by bandits.

In a tweet shared on Sunday, Masari revealed effort put in place to ensure their safe rescue.

He said, “After a visit to the school and community yesterday, we have today met with the top echelon of the nation’s defense machinery led by the Minister Gen Bashir Salihi Magashi, all in our determination to save the innocent children abducted by the bandits.

“No stone will be left unturned in achieving this all important goal. Our prayers and sympathies are with their families. We are indeed in one of our most trying moments; as a Government, as a State and as a people.”
