The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play the Saudi Arabia national team in a senior international friendly match on Friday, October 13, 2023, in Portimão, Portugal.
The match comes less than a month before the three-time African champions begin their quest for a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Nigeria will face Lesotho in their first qualifying match on November 8, followed by a game against Zimbabwe on November 11.
Saudi Arabia, who have never played Nigeria at the senior level, will also be using the match as preparation for their own World Cup qualifying campaign.
The team is looking forward to being led to the mundial by Roberto Mancini, former Italy national team coach.
The Green Falcons are currently ranked 63rd in the world, while Nigeria is ranked 32nd.
The most memorable meeting between the two countries was the opening match of the 1989 FIFA U20 World Cup, when Nigeria won 2-1.
