W/C Qualifiers: Belgium thrash Belarus 8-0,  Netherlands maul Gibraltar

Belgium made a mockery of Belarus with an 8-0 thumping in their World Cup qualifiers match on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils survived Wales’ scare in their opening game with a comeback 3-1 victory and Kent their perfect record with Belarus ‘ bashing.

Hans Vanaken and Leandro Trossard both bagged a brace in the eight-goal thriller, leaving no single stone unturned.

Simon Mignolet’s holiday at the Belgium goal was eased by the Belgian defense who kept their opponents at bay, allowing them register just one shot on target which they failed to convert.

Crystal Palace duo, Christian Benteke and Michy Batshuayi also got on the score sheet for the Red Devils.

In the same vein, Memphis Depay netted a brace as Netherlands thrashed Gibraltar 7-0.

The Dutch put up a ruthless display having started the campaign with a 4-2 shocking defeat to Turkey.

Frank De Boer’s men continued their wining run after beating Latvia 2-0 in their second qualifying match.

Steven Berghuis, Luuk De Jong, Georgino Wijnaldum and Donyell Malen scored to make it 6-0.

Manchester United’s outcast, Donny Van de Beek completed the scoring with a late goalnto make it seven unreplied goals.

Meanwhile,  Cristiano Ronaldo led Portugal to a 3-1 comeback win against Luxembourg.
