Viral video of lady confronting Sanwo-Olu is old – Aide

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on New Media, Jubril Gawat has clarified that the exchange between Sanwo-Olu and a young woman, is from 2019.

In a post on X.com, Gawat stated that the incident occurred on January 28, 2019, during a public event organised by Niteshift Coliseum in Opebi, Lagos.

He added that at the time, Sanwo-Olu was a governorship aspirant engaging with attendees in a question-and-answer session.

Gawat wrote, “TRENDING OLD VIDEO: This encounter here happened on January 28, 2019, when Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu was aspiring to be Governor of Lagos State. A young woman stood up to ask a question, just like others had done. She started being rude and raising her voice.

“No DSS or police attached to Mr Sanwo-Olu here.

“The event was organised by Niteshift Coliseum, Opebi.

“The event continued peacefully afterwards. #SayNoToFakeNews.”

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was in a trending confronted by an attendee during an event.

The yet to be identified woman faced the governor head on to question him about housing issues in Lagos State.

Her question focused on the rights of landlords and the state government’s measures to address housing challenges.

The woman, granted a chance to ask a question, stated, “What are you going to do about housing? Landlords get the rights… So what are you going to do about housing?”

As she spoke, the attendee moved closer to the governor, appearing agitated. This prompted swift intervention by Sanwo-Olu’s security detail, who ensured the situation did not escalate further.
