VIDEOS: Calabar, Kwara warehouse with COVID-19 palliatives looted

Two warehouses housing COVID-19 palliatives in Cross River and Kwara State have been looted by residents earlier today.

In a viral video, residents could be seen freely carting away with food supplies stored in a warehouse in the Murtala Mohammed Highway in Calabar, Cross River State.

The palliatives were meant to have been distributed for the residents during the lockdown period caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This becomes the fourth looting of warehouses storing COVID-19 palliatives after similar reports in Lagos, Osun and Kwara states.

Meanwhile, Kwara State became residents earlier today joined the looting spree after another warehouse storing COVID-19 palliative was looted.

Residents could be seen carting away with COVID-19 palliatives stored in the Cargo Warehouse in Ilorin Airport road hours after the videos of the Osun looting surfaced.

WuzupNigeria reported the plundering of a warehouse storing COVID-19 palliatives in the Mazamaza community of Amuwo Odofin Local Government On Thursday

Earlier today, the COVID palliatives stored in warehouses located on the premises of Cocoa Processing Industrial, Ede, Osun State was also looted by residents.

The committee in charge of the food materials said denied hoarding the supplies adding that it was awaiting directives from Abuja before distribution.

Both the Lagos and Osun States Governments have condemned the act respectively.
