A white woman has impressed the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his entourage as she converses with the revered monarch in flawless Yoruba.
The Ooni had engaged the woman in a conversation, during which he tried to explain the origin of humanity to her.
Oba Ogunwusi spoke in Yoruba, perhaps with interpreters waiting to do their work.
However, the woman responded to the monarch in flawless Yoruba, explaining how she had earned a PhD from the then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) over 30 years ago.
