Some young men identified as students of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijebu Ode received a beating of their lives recently for placing a camouflage face cape on the dashboard of their vehicle.

Two video clips surfaced online on Tuesday showing the students being brutalised by gun-slinging security men. The video, published on Instablog9ja showed the security men who are not on any uniform assaulting the students.

In the first video, a dreadlocked student wearing a white shirt with a black pair of trouser was seen being beaten with horse-whip by one security man. He offered a little protest as he attempted to walk away from the scene. He was held and led away. In the second video, three security men were seen wrestling a student to the ground, while intermittently inflicting blows on him.

Voices could be heard underground saying the act is not right.

Many who commented on the video condemned the security personnel.

Britneyposhh believes the security personnel should be sued and made to pay for the maltreatment.
“Those students suppose sue those idiot securities… rubbish! They think they have d right to beating students just like that… we need to grow up in this country…,” he said.

C.u.g.eTf?! blamed the whole action on the state of Nigeria. He said: “Nigeria is just a hot mess.

This is not the first time people would be harrassed for wearing camouflage attire, so _ijustgotback_ attacked the issue from the root. He said, “This camo nonsense needs to stop. Just shows how ignorant and illiterate people are.

lizkiss believes it is such actions that push students to acts of violence. He said, “When students start rioting they will understand!”

Toluoje1 wonders why the TASUED security men had assorted guns on them, considering that they are school security agents “School security? Why are they armed with a pump action?” He questioned.
