Popular singer, Seun Kuti, has narrowly escaped being hit by a stray bullet while relaxing in his hotel room in the United States.
The Afrobeat star shared the scary moment in a video posted on his Instagram page on Sunday, May 4. The clip showed a broken window with a clear bullet hole.
In the video, Seun Kuti, who appeared shocked, said, “Tell me you are in America without telling me you are in America. I am in my hotel room just chilling and boom — this happened.”
He also expressed disbelief over the shooting, saying, “I read somewhere that these are the civilized people.”
The singer did not give more details about the city or hotel where the incident happened, but the post has since gone viral, with fans thanking God for his safety.
Seun Kuti, the son of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, is known for speaking out on political and social issues both in Nigeria and abroad.
