A disturbing video showing a group of female students stripping a fellow student naked and harassing her has sparked intense outrage after surfacing on social media.
The footage, shared on X on Monday by a user identified as #mobilisingniger, captures at least five girls in school uniforms physically assaulting the female student.
While the incident reportedly happened in Benue State, authorities have yet to officially confirm the institution’s identity.
In the video now circulating, the victim is seen struggling to cover herself with her hands while her attackers laugh and pull her around.
The footage also reveals a male student watching the assault unfold without making any attempt to intervene, while another individual records the humiliation.

The incident has drawn swift condemnation from Nigerians, who have tagged the Benue State Government, the Benue State Police Command, and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, demanding immediate intervention.
Reacting to the video, #FemVitalHub wrote on X, “This is absolutely heartbreaking and unacceptable. No child should ever face such humiliating, dehumanising treatment from her peers. Sexual harassment and bullying like this in schools point to deeper failures in parenting, school supervision, and moral guidance.”
#atakapapi added, “This should be taken very seriously, and we should have juvenile just like every other civilised country, that way they can’t escape the justice system. They stand to be corrected, and that can only happen in a correctional facility.”
#BiggCoin_ similarly wrote, “All of them should go to prison for doing that to their fellow human.” On Facebook, Wuese Daniel wrote, “It’s very unfortunate how shameless and irresponsible these lads have proven to be. How many of such and even more despicable acts have gone and are going on without notice in this society? It’s obvious their intention of recording was to post and humiliate her more, but it’s now concrete evidence against them.”
Emma Nuel added, “The school management should fish out the bad eggs and hand them over for appropriate legal action. I strongly condemned the degrading treatment and torture of the victim. Let justice be done in the case.”
This incident follows a string of high-profile bullying cases in Nigerian schools that have surfaced recently. Earlier in March, the Edo State Government ordered the arrest and prosecution of students at Igbinedion Education Centre involved in a viral bullying incident, which showed two male students beating and kicking another student who was lying on the ground.
In 2024, the Lead British International School in Abuja faced nationwide backlash after videos showing a female student being repeatedly slapped by a classmate went viral.
