A gospel singer and fitness enthusiast, Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, has been arrested after being caught with the severed head of his girlfriend in Orozo, Abuja.

Ajayi was apprehended on Sunday, near a church in the Orozo community.

Eyewitnesses reportedly saw him carrying a black nylon bag that attracted flies, raising suspicion. Upon being searched, a fresh human head, believed to be his girlfriend’s, was found in the bag.

During police questioning, Ajayi revealed that he had been in a relationship with the victim for a year. He claimed that they had a heated argument during which she tried to stab him with a knife, but the situation escalated, leading to her death.

In a video shared online, Ajayi admitted to the crime and disclosed that the rest of the victim’s body was at his residence.

Comrade Abwami Nuhuson Daniel, the Secretary of Orozo Community, confirmed the incident, stating, “I got the shock of my life as we apprehended a ritualist with a human head, which turned out to be his girlfriend, in a nylon bag. The remaining body of the girl is reportedly still in his house. God have mercy on this generation.”

Ajayi, who hails from Kabba in Kogi State, is known as a gospel singer, songwriter, and motivational speaker. He released his album God of the Earth in 2020.
