VIDEO: Everybody I’ve helped keeps me afloat, Davido says in throwback interview
Multiple award-winning singer, Davido Adeleke, Davido, in a throwback interview is heard talking about the importance of giving back to people.
The video resurfaced amidst the 100 million naira target that the singer gave his friends and associates ahead of his 29th birthday.
WuzupNigeria reports that the donation, however, has exceeded N140M barely 24 hours after putting out the word.
In the throwback interview, Davido spoke on how the people he has rendered help to will be there to support him in return should he ever have a downfall.
Davido said, “Bros, It’s not me; Everybody I’ve helped are keeping me afloat. That’s why you see that all these people wey no really help people or give back to people; going up is sweet but your coming down go bad.
“My own coming down, as I dey come down, them go dey push me back up.”
