A video of a mother who has been separated from her daughter for over a decade and chose to pay her a surprise visit on her 18th birthday is presently melting hearts on social media.
The mom, @temihair_makeup, took to Instagram to share the emotional video of her reunion with her teenage daughter who she last saw when the girl was five years old.
Although she didn’t reveal what led to the separation, Temi however, advised parents not to abandon their responsibilities.
“It will pay back in the end,” she said.
The footage which she described as her best video clip of the year was posted on her IG page with the caption:
“Happy new year people, 2020 will be a glorious year for us??. I will love to share my lovely story with you.
“After 13 years without seeing my daughter I finally managed to see her and it was her 18th birthday.
“It was surprised package ? ? and this was her reaction. She also meet with her brother for the first time.
“To those whose parents have been gone for long, don’t lose hope! God’s timing is the only timing you can trust ?….and to you parents don’t abandon your responsibilities.
“It will pay back in the end. God bless you all ?…..My Best videoclip of the year.”
In the footage, some people believed to be family members had gone to bring the lady from her lecture room. On getting to the car park where her mom’s car was, she opened the car, when she saw her mom, she screamed “mommy’ in excitement and started crying.
The daughter, who was shocked by the reunion, wept as she embraced her mother and little brother.
The video has since gone viral on social media sparking a series of emotional reactions.
“Awww…how very nice. Why not complete the story so your audience will understand how a mother will be separated from her child from 5-18 years,” an IG user wrote.
