Video: Confessions of a 13-year-old girl whose father thought she was kidnapped

Miss Kosisochukwu Anioma, a teenager whose father raised an alarm on social media over her alleged kidnap has confessed that she was not kidnapped.

The worried father had also reported his daughter’s purported kidnap to the police n Enugu State.

Kosisochukwu said contrary to her father’s report she was not abducted because she willingly left her home in Enugu to visit her boyfriend in Owerri.

In a viral video published on YouTube,  the teenager who just completed her Junior West African Examination Council exams narrated how she left her home.

She also said she’s 13 years old and not 14 as most media reports claim.

Meanwhile, the Police Command in Enugu State had described as false the kidnap alarm raised by a father, Mr Frank Anioma, over his daughter.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ebere Amaraizu, in a statement on Saturday said the teenager needed to see her boyfriend following the prolonged school holiday.

Kosisochukwu said on August, 22, she went to see one Somtochukwu, her classmate and boyfriend in Command’s secondary school in Abakaliki.

She said, “I left Enugu around 7 am to peace park, that’s where I boarded a bus to Owerri…

“My Dad was in Abuja and my mom was not feeling too good… She was not feeling well, she’s a bit sick and tired and she was asleep when I left…”

The teenager also said on her way back home to Enugu, she was stranded and had to call her father to come and pick it.

Kosisochukwu however, emphasised that “I was not kidnapped, I was never kidnapped and I’ll never be kidnapped…”
