(VIDEO) Baba Ijesha: Police told me CCTV footage is not evidence of rape - Yomi Fabiyi



Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi has continued to support his colleague, Baba Ijesha despite the backlash he has received from netizens over the alleged rape saga.

According to Goldmyne TV, Yomi narrated what transpired between him and Baba Ijesha at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, where the accused is currently being held on allegation of raping a minor.

He stressed that policemen handling the case had confided in him that the CCTV footage is not evidence of rape while also laying emphasis on the fact that Baba Ijesha had denied raping the minor.

Yomi revealed that all the while he had actually thought there was footage of the actor violating the girl not until the police officer investigating explained that the actor was actually caught with the girl in the living room after which he apologized when asked what he was doing with her.

Yomi recalled a similar scenario where fellow actor, Baba Suwe was exonerated after being accused of trafficking drugs.

He said that all he did was to tell people to calm down and allow the law to take its due course.

Unfortunately, his opinion seemed to attract emotional reactions from many aggrieved Nigerians.
