Nigerian model and ex-beauty queen, Chief Agbani Darego MFR, has celebrated the 20th anniversary of her emergence as Miss World.
Recall that the model was crowned in 2001, making her the first native African to win the Miss World beauty pageant.
Agbani, in a post on her Instagram page on Tuesday, shared the video of herself when she was crowned 20 years ago.
In the caption, she stated that she was grateful for the experience.
Agbani Darego said, “20 years today! Forever thankful for the experience @missworld.”
Before her emergence as World Beauty Queen, she had won the national beauty pageant, Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria.
Agbani married billionaire Theophilus Danjuma’s first son, Ishaya in 2017, in a private ceremony held at the Amanjena Luxury Resort in Marrakech, Morocco.
