Nigerian singer and songwriter, Victor AD, has come forward to defend the late clergyman, Pastor TB Joshua, amidst recent allegations and controversies surrounding the popular televangelist.
Victor took to X, to share his personal experiences, countering claims that TB Joshua was fake.
He tweeted “Prophet TB Joshua fake ke? 😂 Person wey God use heal me from skin disease at the age of 6, restore my mum’s hand that was supposed to be amputated due to a gunshot wound, or is it my sister who got healed from blindness during her primary school days? So many wonderful deeds!! Which of these are fake or staged?”
The singer went on to narrate the miraculous events in his life and his family’s, crediting TB Joshua for the interventions. “When my family and I were homeless, he sheltered us and fed us. God is not a man. Say whatever you like. E no go change God from being God.”
Victor AD’s statements come at a time when BBC released a three-part investigative documentary on the late clergyman, detailing allegations of atrocities and sexual crimes.
The documentary includes interviews with members and workers of TB Joshua’s church, Synagogue Church of All Nations, revealing exploitative and manipulative practices within the church.
TB Joshua, who died in 2021, was a successful preacher with an immense global following including Nigerian celebrities.
In the past, actor Jim Iyke had publicly acknowledged the healing of his sick mother by TB Joshua in 2013.
However, the BBC documentary has revealed heinous allegations against the late clergyman with recounts of rape, torture, and other forms of abuse on women and other church members.
Despite the controversies, Victor AD staunchly defends the late clergyman based on his personal encounters, emphasizing the healing and support he and his family received.
