Veteran Nollywood actor Dayo Adewunmi, popularly known as Baba Sule Suebebe, has died.

Suebebe passed away early Wednesday morning at an undisclosed hospital in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

The news of his death was announced by a well-known cleric in Ibadan, Pastor Ademola Amusan of Agbala Gabriel Church. The late actor had been under Pastor Amusan’s care for several months due to an undisclosed illness.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Pastor Amusan, commonly referred to as Agbala Gabriel, wrote, “It’s a pity, Baba Suebebe died at hospital this morning. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”

Pastor Amusan had previously used his outreach program on Facebook to raise financial support for Suebebe.

The actor, who was well-regarded in the Yoruba-speaking sector of the movie industry, had openly acknowledged his past reckless lifestyle in a viral video.

He also took the opportunity to apologize to the women he may have offended during his younger days.

Suebebe has been featured in over 100 movies. He is popularly known for his roles in Suku Suku Bam Bam (2004), Suku Suku Bam Bam 2 (2004), and Ago Kan Oru (2003).

May his soul rest in peace.
