Veteran Nollywood actor Peter Fatomilola has revealed that skit maker and actor Mr Macaroni once paid him N1 million after inviting him to a movie set without discussing any fee beforehand. This Mr Macaroni N1m gift was a big surprise for Fatomilola.
According to DailyMirror Nigeria, Fatomilola made the disclosure while recounting some of his experiences working with younger entertainers, including the time he received the Mr Macaroni N1m gift.
The veteran actor said he had previously appeared in two scenes for another production and received N50,000.
However, he said Mr Macaroni later surprised him with additional money after meeting him on set.
“He escorted me”
Fatomilola recalled that after one shoot, Mr Macaroni followed him towards his vehicle and gave him N200,000 for transportation. In fact, the Mr Macaroni N1m gift came as the biggest gesture of all.
“The person I came to work with gave me N50,000, it’s not once, twice. I can’t even count,” he said.
He added that Mr Macaroni later invited him to another production where he appeared alongside Nollywood veteran Pete Edochie.
“We never negotiated,” Fatomilola said.
The actor also disclosed that the two children who accompanied him received N100,000 and N50,000 respectively.
Fatomilola gets N1m alert
Fatomilola said he was already leaving the set in Lekki when he received a credit alert from Mr Macaroni. Furthermore, the Mr Macaroni N1m gift showed the actor’s generosity towards older people.
“We were still in Lekki. I asked how much he sent. One million naira,” he said.
The veteran actor praised the gesture while reflecting on the difference between the payment and some fees he had received for previous productions.
His comments have since attracted reactions from social media users praising Mr Macaroni for supporting older actors.
