Nigerian activist Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan, has openly criticized the Lord’s Chosen Church over what he calls “controversial testimonies” shared by its members.

VDM has expressed concerns about the church’s testimonies and has threatened to take legal action against them.

His frustration stems from a recent viral testimony where a woman claimed she was attacked by four armed robbers but managed to disarm them, seizing what she described as an “AK-27.” The church’s pastor later corrected her, saying it was actually an AK-47.

VDM, known for speaking out on social issues, called on the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to investigate the situation.

He accused the church of misleading Christians with exaggerated stories.

In a video on his Instagram, VDM voiced his displeasure and stated he would take legal steps. In the post, he wrote, “CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA, get ready for me ooo. This nonsense needs to stop. Now they’re even claiming to have spiritual iron in their heads? All these Chosen members…”

Following his statements, several people took to social media to share their reactions, with many mocking the church’s testimonies.

One user, @TheVeryBishop, shared a personal experience, saying, “My Mum sister’s husband was diabetic and went there for healing. My guy did not meet their interview criteria, wasn’t allowed to see the Man of God. Low and behold, we saw his photo on one of their posters stating ‘a man with diabetes for 16 years was healed.’ We laff taya.”

Other users joined the discussion, @medythegreat) declaring, “Na lie dem dey lie for that church,” while @oluwawolex85 added, “If you are a chosen member and your eye never open that means you are part of Nigeria’s problem.”

The conversation continued, with more people expressing disbelief over the church’s claims.

@SenatorLawrenz tweeted, “Wetin Dey occur for here… I don taya for the whole Earth abeg I wan change planet,” while @dammyd26 humorously noted, “But how did we believe the story of Daniel in the lion’s den and not believe all this chosen 🤣🤣.
