Real Madrid have announced the contract renewal of Federico Valverde until 2029. The 25-year-old’s new deal will see him earn a higher salary and have a release clause of €1 billion

Valverde’s contract extension comes after other renewals for Real Madrid’s young stars, including Eduardo Camavinga, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Eder Militao.

Real Madrid CF and Fede Valverde have agreed to extend the player’s contract, which remains linked to the club until June 30, 2029.

“Valverde arrived at Real Madrid in July 2016, when he was only 18 years old. In his six seasons defending the first team shirt he is already one of the best midfielders in the world,” a statement from the club read.

The club is looking to build its future around these players and fend off interest from other top European clubs.

Valverde has made 220 appearances for Real Madrid since signing from Uruguayan side Penarol in 2017.

He has won a number of trophies with the club, including two La Liga titles, two Champions Leagues, and a Club World Cup.

Valverde is a versatile player who can play in various positions, including midfield, wing, and right-back. He is known for his tireless work ethic and his ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch.
