Popular American streamer Kai Cenat has met with the Lagos State Governor, Dr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, following his arrival in Nigeria’s commercial capital today.

The Twitch star, known for his massive global following, landed in Lagos on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 marking his second visit to Nigeria. He first came to Lagos in March 2024, where he was hosted by Shanks Comics.

While the full agenda of his visit remains undisclosed, it is understood to be connected to a major philanthropic project.

Reports indicate he is visiting the site of the school initiative, to which he committed $5 million The project was originally planned for the Makoko community but faced construction challenges in the stilt settlement. It has since been relocated to Yaba, Lagos.

Cenat announced updates on the project during his ‘Mafiathon 3’ charity stream in 2025. The pledge came after he witnessed severely overcrowded classrooms during his first visit.

His meeting with Governor Sanwo-Olu suggests high-level support for the educational initiative. Clips of the streamer’s arrival and movements in Lagos have already sparked excitement online, with fans anticipating new content and collaborations inspired by Nigerian culture.
