The flagbearer of the People’s Democratic Party ahead of the Delta State 2023 governorship election in Delta State, Chief Kenneth Okpara, is dead.
The former Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning in the state, died about 3.00am on Friday at Capitol Hill Hospital, Warri.
Okpara, it was gathered, had been battling kidney failure for the past three years.
He was said to have been undergoing dialysis but went unconscious on Thursday and never did regain consciousness before his death.
His body has since been taken to a mortuary in Eku, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
