Several calls have been made for the head of a TV presenter who sexually assaulted a woman on air.
Metro reports that hundreds have complained after a woman was sexually assaulted on live TV – and it was met with laughter from hosts and the audience.
The French gameshow 35 Hours of Baba, shown on TPMP and hosted by Cyril Hanouna, was trying to set the record for the longest continuous episode by running for 35 hours.
For one segment, Hanouna set up a recreation of the robbery of Kim Kardashian-West in Paris, in which she was tied up in the bath.
A 21-year-old model called Soraya played Kardashian-West, while panellist Jean-Michel Maire had to break in and ‘rescue’ her.
It was after this performance that things took a sinister turn.
Hanouna started urging Soraya to let Maire give her a kiss in return for ‘rescuing’ her.
Soraya explicitly and firmly says ‘no’ – Maire tries to say, ‘She said yes!’ but Soraya repeats again, ‘I said no‘.
Hanouna starts asking her why she won’t let Maire kiss her, and she says that it’s because people are watching. Maire then suggests ‘Well we can do it backstage…’ prompting laughter from Hanouna and the audience.
Maire then leans in for a kiss, and Soraya turns her face away.
Instead of leaving her alone as she had expressly asked, Maire then bends down and kisses her right breast instead.
People were horrified. Within minutes viewers took to Twitter to call the hosts out for ‘sexual assault’.
