UK threatens deportation for migrants in illegal jobs

The United Kingdom has issued a fresh warning to migrants, cautioning them against engaging in illegal employment as it intensifies enforcement actions across the country.

UK authorities said anyone caught working without proper authorisation would be arrested, detained and deported, stressing that immigration raids have now reached record levels.

The warning was issued by the UK Home Office in a message posted on Friday.

“Those caught working illegally in the UK will be arrested, detained and removed,” the Home Office stated.

The government added, “Immigration Enforcement raids are at record levels, with those found to be working illegally being arrested, detained and removed from the country.”

Officials explained that illegal employment weakens the country’s labour system and places lawful workers at a disadvantage.

The warning comes amid tighter immigration controls under the UK’s tougher border and labour policies, which have led to increased workplace inspections, especially in sectors known to rely heavily on migrant labour.
