Ugandan legislator representing Kyadondo East constituency, Bobi Wine, has cried out over the challenges his presidential campaign is facing.

The musician turned politician is going against President Yoweri Museveni who has been in power for over 30 years.

According to him, there is no level playing field in the coming election because he has been restricted access to his rights as a citizen.

Wine who spoke with CNN’s Christine Amanpour said that there have been assassination attempts on his life.

He said, “I’ve survived two assassination attempts in the last two weeks where bullets have been shot in my car and on the tires and the windscreens.”

He added, “that’s the ground that President Museveni calls level.”
