Ufuoma McDermott nabs nanny who stole dollars from her home [Photo]
Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Ufuoma McDermott, has revealed that her friend’s nanny stole some dollars from her home.
The actress who called the suspect a “calculated professional career thief,” said the presence of Closed-circuit television (CCTV) in her home saved the day and exposed the nanny.

The mother of two in a now-deleted Instagram post also gave a brief narrative of the incident. She said;
“PLEASE INSTALL CCTV IN YOUR HOMES On Sunday, my friends and I wanted our kids to spend time together. They converged at mine.
The nanny of one friend stole money from a purse and denied. She was the only adult that went into the children’s room. They searched her and begged her to return it to no avail. When I returned, I calmly told them I have CCTV all over the house.
What my eye saw in those footages is nothing short of a calculated professional career thief, waiting to be employed into people’s houses. She took the money from a handbag in my children’s room, rushed into the toilet, squeezed and wrapped the money in tissue, used it to dab her face so it looks worn, then placed it on my office table. She knew she would be searched. She didn’t want it found on her.
But she also knew that no one would suspect that used looking tissue ball sitting there in open glare. My own nannies could have been accused of this theft. The CCTV saved the day.”
However, the actress deleted the IG post saying she was advised to only post the photo of the suspect and not the CCTV clip.
She also revealed that a video has been taken to the police and urged everyone to install CCTV in their homes.
“Morning guys. I have been advised to take down the video I posted and leave a picture of her instead.
“I’ve taken a video from my CCTV for the police as well. Please beware of this lady and INSTALL CCTV IN YOUR HOMES! It is super important. Please,” Ufuoma wrote.
