Nigerian talent manager Ubi Franklin, best known as the close friend of award-winning music star Davido, has achieved a major milestone by earning a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Essex.

The talent manager shared his joy and the story behind his accomplishment on his Instagram page, reflecting on the journey that led him to this point.

Ubi Franklin revealed that his decision to pursue a law degree came during the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

As Nigeria prepared for a lockdown, Ubi, who described himself as a restless person with a constant desire to achieve new goals, realized that his existing university degrees were not enough for him. “I felt like I needed something more,” he shared.

In a conversation with Pastor Tobi, Ubi expressed his desire to give law another shot, this time in the UK. With Pastor Tobi’s encouragement, Ubi began his search for the right school, eventually enrolling at the University of Essex after several delays. He started his studies with courses like Legal Skills and Context, Public Law, Criminal Law, and Business Environment, and later advanced to subjects such as the Law of Tort, Land Law, Operations Management, and Wills and Administration of Estates.

Ubi Franklin took a moment to thank those who supported him throughout his journey. He penned a heartfelt note to Pastor Tobi for consistently checking in and encouraging him, and he expressed his deep gratitude to Davido and his wife, Chioma, for their unwavering support and encouragement.

The news of Ubi’s achievement has sparked reactions on social media, with many users expressing their thoughts on his success.

One user, Forever Living Nigeria Official, commented, “Now, women are never going to defend themselves when he gets them pregnant.”

Another user, Ifeco153, noted, “No allow social media deceive you o. People calling him nanny last year go full here dey toe congratulations.

Just do you, the world will adjust.” Some users humorously referred to Ubi’s new title, with Solar Choice1000 writing, “Nanny turn lawyer,” and Curious Lysoso adding, “Davido’s new lawyer coming.”
