UAE air defences intercept missile threat

The United Arab Emirates’ National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority announced on Friday that the country’s air defence systems were responding to a missile threat.

The authority did not provide additional details about the incident or the origin of the threat at the time of the announcement.

In a related development, the Dubai Government Media Office disclosed that debris from an aerial interception fell on the facade of a building located in central Dubai.

Officials said authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, but no further information has been released concerning the nature of the intercepted threat.
