Tyson Fury has dismissed Anthony Joshua’s chances of beating Deontay Wilder if they ever fought saying the British-Nigerian champion isn’t skilful enough to face the Bronze Bomber.
Fury says despite his masterclass beating of Wilder in February, it takes a lot to actually survive against Wilder. He added that Joshua will be dropped in round one if he ever faces Wilder.
Fury speaking to iFL TV said:
โDeontay Wilder, barring none, even today, is the most dangerous heavyweight alive.
โHe would wipe the floor with every other single heavyweight out there, apart from myself.
โAnd I also believe that Oleksandr Usyk (pictured below) would give him problems.
โTheyโre the only two people in the heavyweight division alive today that could give Deontay Wilder trouble.
โThatโs myself and Oleksandr Usyk.
Oleksandr Usyk has won every belt at cruiserweight and is now chasing titles in the heavyweight division with his southpaw style making him an unpredictable fighter.
Fury continued:
โIโm an absolute beast, warrior, legend, โlinealโ champion and Usyk because heโs a master southpaw, slick boxer.
โHeโs had a lot of experience and he knows how to deal with power punchers.โ
โWilder beats Joshua, he beats Whyte, Jarrell Miller.
โThereโs nobody who can beat Deontay Wilder. Are you joking, the โBronze Bomberโ?
โOne touch on their faces and theyโre gone forever, goodnight Vienna.
โHe would do to Whyte and Joshua what he did to Dominic Breazeale, put them unconscious in round one.
โThey ainโt got the skills Iโve got, canโt touch this, this canโt be touched.
โI just wanna see them fight. They wanna call Wilder this, that and the other, but he will put them to sleep, easy.
โSoon as he touches them, theyโre gone.
โTheyโve got no defence and just walk into punches.
โWhat are they gonna do, walk him down, without a feint, without no footwork? Please.
โYou wonโt walk a man like that down, heโd punch holes in you.
โIโd definitely, definitely back Wilder to knock the pair out, for sure.โ
