Former two-time heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has officially announced his return to boxing, confirming a comeback fight against Russian-Canadian contender Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11.

The 37-year-old Briton, who announced his retirement in early 2025, revealed the bout will take place in the UK, with the venue to be disclosed later.

“Excited to be back. Heart’s always been and always will be in boxing. Someone go tell the king that the ace is back,” Fury stated.

Fury’s last fight was in December 2024, when he lost a unanimous decision to Oleksandr Usyk in their heavyweight title rematch in Saudi Arabia. He retired two months later with a record of 34-2-1 (24 KOs).

His opponent, Makhmudov, is known for his power and recently dominated Britain’s Dave Allen. The Russian-born fighter welcomed the challenge, saying, “I am thrilled about the opportunity. I’m coming to deliver a war. Tyson Fury has been a big champion. I will be more ready than ever to leave with a massive W.”

The fight marks Fury’s first appearance in the ring in over a year and signals his intent to re-enter the heavyweight
