For Nigerians, the year 2014 was filled with intrigues in the political arena. Torn between an incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan from the South South region of the country, and a popular retired General Muhammadu Buhari from the Northern part, Nigerians must make a choice.
There were a few other contestants. The only female contestant, Professor of French language, Remi Sonaya, actively vied for the presidency seat on the platform of KOWA party. She was popular mainly among the educated youths of the south-western parts of the country. Unfortunately, she and Goodluck and all other contestants lost the seat to President Muhammadu Buhari, the current president.
However, Nigerians are still yearning for a president that would turn the countries circumstances around like magic, hence many have day dreamed, wishing for specific world leaders to be in charge of Nigeria.
Here are two of the leaders popular among those making the wish:
President Barack Obama. Many Nigerians have expressed the wish that Obama could just be the president of the country. Obama is the 44th and current President of the United States. He is the first African American to hold the office and the first president born outside of the continental United States.
Obama should come and be the president of Nigeria jhoor.
