The Power Holding Company of Nigeria gave foreign delegates a taste of Nigerians’ plight by interrupting power supply (electricity) as Geoffrey Onyeama, minister of foreign affairs, met with international delegates on Monday over the suspension of Twitter.

WUZUPNIGERIA reported that those present at the meeting at the federal ministry of foreign affairs headquarters in Abuja included envoys of the US, UK, Ireland, Canada, and the European Union.

Recall that the Nigerian government has been under fire from Nigerians and international bodies after the announcement of Twitter’s suspension on Friday.

However, while Onyeama and the delegates began deliberation over the suspension, the power holding company, as usual, interrupted the supply of electricity in the ministry for almost 10 minutes, The Cable reported.

According to the report, delegates and journalists watched the embarrassment caused by the outage which started at 1:01 pm, and the ministry’s staff were forced to raise window blinds to allow for rays of sunshine, as well as ventilation into the conference room.

Minutes passed by and the minister was forced to begin the meeting without electricity supply until it was restored at 1:11 pm.
