An official note on Oda’s website on Friday revealed that access to media outlet Oda TV had been blocked by a Turkish court, citing alleged violation of a law regulating the internet.

Oda TV news director Baris Terkoglu and reporter Hülya Kilinc were arrested on Thursday in Istanbul because of a report covering the funeral of a Turkish intelligence service officer who was allegedly killed in Libya, the outlet said.

Oda TV said the official’s identity was already made public by an opposition lawmaker.

State news agency Anadolu reported that the Editor in chief Baris Pehlivan was separately referred to an Istanbul court with a prosecutor’s request for his arrest.

He was earlier summoned to give his statement.

Turkey backs the UN-backed government in Tripoli and has sent military training personnel and equipment against Russia-backed rebel force leader Gen. Khalifa Haftar.

Haftar’s forces have been trying to seize Tripoli since April.
