United States lawmaker, Riley Moore, has disclosed that President Donald Trump will soon be presented with a comprehensive set of policy measures aimed at addressing the alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria.
Speaking during an interview with Fox News, Moore stated that efforts were underway to protect Nigerians affected by the ongoing wave of violence.
“We are going to get right to work and get to the bottom of what is happening and give President Trump a full menu of options that we can use to try to stop these killings,” Moore said.
His comments followed Trump’s recent indication that the United States might consider military intervention if the reported attacks on Christians in Nigeria continue.
Over the weekend, the U.S. president warned that military action could be on the table should the violence persist.
Meanwhile, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu is expected to meet with Trump in the coming days during a summit in South Africa, where both leaders are anticipated to discuss the situation in detail.
