An overspeeding truck which drove off its lane on the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway has rammed into a shop, killing the unsuspecting shop owner.
According to reports, the accident involved an Iveco truck with registration number KSF 209 XY, which occurred at the Obada Oko corridor of the Lagos Abeokuta-expressway Monday, March 8.
Eyewitnesses say two trucks on the same lane were recklessly struggling right of way and in the process, one of them lost track of the road and rammed into a shop and house by the road, killing a woman.
According to eyewitnesses, the deceased had just had her bath and was doing her makeup when she was killed.
