Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA under the Joint Task Force North-West have destroyed a makeshift medical facility reportedly used by terrorists in Bingi Forest as part of sustained military offensives in the area.

The military said the operation, which took place between January 21 and 22, 2026, significantly disrupted the logistics and support structure of the terrorist group operating in the forest.

In a statement issued by the Media Information Officer of the operation, Captain David Adewusi, troops of 1 Brigade alongside the Headquarters Joint Task Force Mobile Strike Team acted on credible intelligence indicating that injured terrorists were being treated at the location.

“The troops discovered and destroyed the makeshift clinic, disrupting the terrorists’ ability to sustain their operations,” he said.

Adewusi added that troops of the 8 Division Garrison Strike Force, with support from Department of State Services (DSS) assets, had earlier confronted terrorists at Gundumi Village in Isa Local Government Area.

“One of the terrorists was neutralised, while others escaped with gunshot wounds,” Adewusi said.
He further disclosed that six AK-47 rifles and three motorcycles were recovered during the operation.

According to Adewusi, the sustained military actions reflect the Armed Forces’ determination to weaken terrorist networks and restore lasting peace in the North-West region.
