A man who worked as a driver has reportedly died after he was shot by police officers in Rivers.
According to reports, the incident happened along the East-West road in Ahoada local government area of Rivers state.
It was gathered that the deceased, identified as Odeh Stephen, who worked as a driver at the popular Ekeki modern motor park in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State was shot by the officer on Thursday.
He was said to have died instantly and his corpse has since been deposited in the morgue.
The reason for the alleged murder is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
Odeh Stephen’s killing comes days after policemen shot a football fan, Kolade Johnson, dead in Lagos State.
Johnson’s killers were on Thursday dismissed by the Nigerian Police.
